The Luther House of Study is a collaborative effort between Augustana College and Sioux Falls Seminary. The institutions established this mutual endeavor to strengthen leadership in Lutheran congregations throughout the Northern Plains region. It serves as a tangible symbol of the institutions' commitment to invest in the mission and ministry of the church, most particularly by furthering the proclamation of the Gospel. Building upon the history, vision, libraries and faculties of each institution, the Luther House creates a broader ministry network in order to serve those seeking further theological education. By extension, the families, congregations, and communities throughout the Northern Plains region will benefit from the Luther House of Study.
Anchored in the Lutheran faith and inspired by the Lutheran tradition, the Luther House of Study is supported by four pillars designed to inspire a new generation of church leadership, support seminarians and undergraduates, renew current clergy, and enhance ministries to area congregations.
